Successful Living: Achieving Happiness and Fulfillment

success
Deborah Schaefer asked:

A successful life is about finding your true purpose and pursuing it with all your passion. It is about find the true riches of life that lead to happiness and fulfillment. It is having goals that drive your life.

Many people who achieve fortune in the world are not born rich. But they accomplished it through hard work and a plan of action. Every type of person on earth can become successful. There are saints and scoundrels; philanthropists and thieves; poets and politicians; young and old. There are no limitations or physical boundaries for success.

Success comes to those who deeply think about success and constantly strive for it! Although many rich financiers at the turn of the century had no formal education, they overcame that and went on to great fame.

Some people strive towards a single goal from early in life, and often attain that goal while still young. Others are willing to risk new adventures later and still attain success.

“It’s never too late to learn,” wrote Malcolm Forbes, the money magnate. “I learned to ride a motorcycle at 50 and fly balloons at 52.”

Whatever your task, whatever your obstacles, you can be as successful as anyone else. Study the people who accomplished recognition in the areas of your pursuit. How did they achieve their goals? And don’t be afraid you don’t have what it takes.

As Daniel Webster wrote, “There is always room at the top.”

Forming Conviction-

The single attribute that every successful person has is the one pointed devotion to attain a goal.”There in the sunshine are my highest aspirations,” wrote Louisa May Alcott, “I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.”

What are your desires? How can you form them into definite goals that you can attain?

Lawrence Peter wrote, “If you don’t know where you’re going, you’ll probably end up somewhere else.”

Maybe you’re studying a craft or skill. Perhaps you’re caught in a rung of the corporate ladder. Or, you might feel constricted by your family and the environment around you.

Which star are you reaching for?

“Ours is a world where people don’t know what they want and are willing to go through anything to get it,” wrote Don Marquis.

Take the time to think about your own aspirations. Look inside to find what feels right. Almost everyone entertains the notions of fame and fortune, but put on the ‘costume’ that fits you. Conviction requires certain qualities of action. Successful Living requires that you be sincere and be willing to assume responsibility. And you need the self-discipline necessary to work towards your goals.

-Are you prepared to achieve your dreams?

-Can you form their reality in your mind?

-Will you devote your entire being to attaining what you want?!?

On Your Own-

Most millionaires are non-conformists. So are the most famous actors and actresses; and the most prominent artists. Writers are known for their individual traits and eccentricities. Your convictions and goals are your own business, even when you find help along the path.

Mentors often take people under their wings to nourish and teach. Or spiritual guides will show you the path to attainment. But you’re on your own to achieve.

Cultivate a sense of justice and an ability to make decisions. Cooperate with everybody and develop your own self-respect. And follow good criticism and advice after you’ve judged carefully.

J. Paul Getty said, “I advise young millionaires to be skeptical of advice. They should advise themselves; they should form their own opinions.”

Lord Byron wrote, “There is rapture on the lonely shore.” And if you attain your goals with poise and sincerity, you’ll find warmth and love at the top- not the cold loneliness pictured by the jealous. Put on blinders to negative comments and criticism meant to hurt you.

About the people who criticize, Voltaire wrote, “Never having been able to succeed in the world, they took revenge by speaking ill of it.”

Seize the Day!

People are judged by what they think and what they say. But the true measure of their character is what they do. Anyone who has achieved success and fortune in the world has done it by action. William Jennings Bryan wrote, “Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved.”

The choice of the path you follow is often put before you as opportunity. “Few people recognize opportunity,” said Cary Grant, “because it comes disguised as hard work.”

Don’t let opportunities slip past while you’re still considering them, and create new ones as you see them. “Wise people make more opportunities than they find,” said Francis Bacon.

What opportunities can you act upon? Woolworth saw a need for small inexpensive items and opened the chain of stores that grossed billions. Wrigley started giving gum away as a bonus from a supplies wagon he sold from, and saw the opportunity to make money from the gum that became in high demand.

All successful people the world over have found the opportunities for their own special talents and acted upon those ways to achieve. Why wait for the time to pass? There’s never a better time than now. Lewis Carroll believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast. Take your own impossible dreams and make them become reality.

How They Think-

Thousands of potential millionaires are born every year. And making a million dollars is coming closer to everyone’s pocket. What advice did the money-makers follow?

Aristotle Onassis worked eighteen hours a day to maintain his fortune. He started as a welder and aimed for the top. “You have to think money day and night,” he said, “you should even dream about it in your sleep.”

John D. Rockefeller, Jr., said, “I believe in the dignity of labor, whether with head or hand; that the world owes every person an opportunity to make a living.”

And J. Paul Getty acknowledged his hard work: “I have no complex about wealth. I have worked hard for my money, producing things people need.”

Even Proverbs advises: “In all labor there is profit.” Richard Bach, the author of the best-selling “Jonathan Livingston Seagull” wrote, “You are never given a wish without also being given the power to make it true. You may have to work for it, however.”

The Empress of the British Empire, Queen Victoria, admonished, “We are not interested in the possibilities of defeat.”

Do YOU Have What It Takes?

There are qualities of endeavor and achievement that are common to many people who make it to the top. The following questions are a guideline to self-enterprise and attaining your goals.

-Do you prefer to work for yourself than for others?

-Are you well-informed on current business and political affairs?

-Are you a leader?

-Do you take advantage of opportunities?

-Do you pay attention to what other people say?

-Can you finish a job even when it is difficult or unpleasant?

-Are you challenged by problems?

-Do you have a goal you want to achieve?

-Do you consider other people?

-Do you strive to attain?

-Can you obey commands?

-Can you bounce back after defeat?

-Do you believe in yourself?

-Can you stand by your actions in spite of criticism?

-Can you follow instructions?

-Can you respond to the needs of others?

-Will you give credit to others?

-Can you make your own decisions?

-Are you determined?

-Are you ready for success?

Establish a Goal-

-What do you want?

-Are you looking for financial security, professional

acknowledgment, spiritual attainment?

-Do you want to fit better socially, or become more expressive creatively?

Establish the goal that’s right for you.

Then turn that goal from a dream into a desire. You want to realize that goal, not just wish for it. Aesop said, “Beware that you do not lose the substance by grabbing at the shadow.”

-Know exactly what you want, then go for it.

-Don’t be tricked by your own procrastination- especially if you want to achieve something artistic.

The writer Thomas Wolfe wrote, “I had been sustained by that delightful illusion of success which we all have when we dream about the books we are going to write instead of actually doing them. Now I was face to face with it, and suddenly I realized that I had

committed my life and my integrity so irrevocably to this struggle that I must conquer now or be destroyed.”

Can you see what you want? If you want the abundance of material wealth that money provides, what goal will give you that money?

-Do you want the prestige of owning your own business?

-What business do you want to begin?

-Where are the opportunities for you?

Talk to everyone in the business you want to join. Make friends in the literary or art societies in your area. Read books and articles about your field of endeavor. How can you attain your goal?

“If you don’t want to work, you have to work to earn enough money so that you don’t have to work!” wrote Ogden Nash. Money makes money; success breeds success.

But not always.

How can you break through those thoughts to help yourself to the rewards?

Henry David Thoreau wrote…

“I have learned this at least by my experiment: that if you advance confidently in the direction of your dreams, and endeavor to live the life which you imagine, you will meet with success.”

Think BIG and passionately visualize success, consistently and without ceasing:

-Do you see yourself in a big house?

-Maybe you picture your artwork hanging in a gallery.

-Can you feel your book in print and in your hands?

-How does it feel to be a person of success?!?

Affirm-

To make firm.

Make firm that you are; know that it is in your grasp. That’s what the others did, and that’s how people make it to the top. Then get down to basics.

Be precise.

Exactly how much money do you want, and by what date?

And exactly what are you going to do to earn that money? Be realistic, but give yourself short-term goals. Write it down. In six months or one year, you will have how much money. And repeat it until it feels good. Then repeat it twice a day until it swirls in your subconscious, until it becomes your one-pointed goal.

“The goal stands up, the keeper stands up to keep the goal,” wrote A.E. Housman.

Keys to Successful Living-

-Make people feel at ease- They will respond to your needs as you respond to theirs.

-Share the spotlight.

-Give credit to those who deserve it- and to those who strive.

-Don’t grab praise away from other people.

-Have confidence in your own value.

-Don’t do anything that won’t credit your own self-respect.

-Follow up your actions as they reflect your own self-worth.

Listen well to others’ comments. Then weigh your own actions. Cultivate relationships with people who have good and important things to say.

Participate in life.

Be active in business meetings and endeavors; volunteer to be part of organizations and groups. Social interaction will boost your sense of well-being.

Feel worthy of your own goal.

Know that you can attain it and that it is right for you. Grasp your own challenge. Don’t give yourself impossible goals, but always reach higher. Relax and be yourself. Each person is different and just as wonderful as the next. Don’t be plagued by what you think others think of you.

Don’t bathe in success- use it. Once you achieve your first goal, go on to others. Use the money you earn for the rewards you look for. Then go on to the next endeavor.

Be slow to criticize others’ achievements. Find out how they did it and learn from them. Never use subterfuge. Don’t go behind someone’s back. Speak your mind and earn respect. Banish negative thoughts and traits. Restructure your life to exclude bad habits.

Believe in yourself and what you are to accomplish. All the power in the world is within you to achieve. Success in life is attainable for everyone who follows their dreams and passions.

Is Success University All It’s Cracked Up to Be?

success
Lana Robinson asked:

A friend of mine suggested that I take a look at Success University. I was told that Success University is company that some guy named Matt Morris created to give anyone the ability to duplicate success. Come to think of it, I had been in Network Marketing for a little bit over 3 years and wasn’t having very much success at all. My sponsor and upline kept telling me that I needed to listen to self-help tapes, read personal development books, and find out what other successful people had done and follow their lead. We’d have weekly conference calls and each week we would be asked the same question, “What personal development book are you reading this week?” There was mostly silence across the phone lines. Needless to say, I was a skeptical about how Success University could help me and my network marketing business, but I planked down a whopping $2 enrollment fee (which is donated to the Feed The Children charity) and began my 14 day trial.

Let me tell you, I was very impressed! I was routed to a ‘back-office’ training site that was absolutely loaded with training material. And this wasn’t any ordinary training, this was training from some of the most sought after personal development and sales trainers in the world. Names like Jim Rohn, Brian Tracy, Johnny Wimbrey, Zig Ziglar and Carol Tuttle just to name a few. And I got to take advantage of all of this training for 14 full days! I was thrilled! A few days later, I received a package in the mail that contained $850 worth of bonus CDs, magazines and a welcome letter from the Success University founder, Matt Morris.

I popped the Jim Rohn bonus CD into my CD player and listened to it over and over again. Everything I had heard from the training conventions for my network marketing company finally made sense. When I attended any regional or national training event for my company, I was told over and over again that if I helped enough people get what they wanted, then I’ll have everything that I wanted. I didn’t really understand what that meant until I heard it from Jim Rohn. In the past, I’ve spent hundreds of dollars each month of personal development tools. I’ve bought CDs from various trainers and business building gurus. Nothing compares to what I received from Matt Morris and Success University.

I started to wonder if I should continue as a member (by paying just $49.95 each month) after my 14 day trial. I mean, if everything they’re giving away for $2 is this good.. imagine what I would receive as a paying member. And, it would be less expensive and less time consuming than trying to find all this material myself. I wanted to learn from the true leaders. I researched the Success University and what I found truly surprised me.

Did you know that Success University enables anyone, from any background, to duplicate success? If you are willing to put forth the effort, you have the opportunity to create a global business working right from home. Yeah. That’s what I was told in my network marketing business. You’d be working part time from home, just a few hours a week, selling health and wellness products. But I found myself working a lot more than those hours on my business and I wasn’t at home. I was attending hotel meetings, giving home presentations, and meeting those not-so-willing people at coffee shops. But with the Success University, I found that I really could work from home. And, I found that I could join a team that has a blueprint for success that doesn’t involve bothering friends and family. It doesn’t involve cold-calling, home parties, three-way calls or hotel meetings. I also found that Success University is rated by Alexa as the #1 home-based business in network marketing. That’s a big deal, because I wanted to make sure that other people were having success with it before I joined past my 14 day trial.

Most people do not like to sell or recruit, and they don’t know how to run and market their own home business beyond the friends and family method. Success University has taken care of this by providing all members with a free lead capture website which does the selling for you. As far as recruiting, Success University has several different pages that you can send your recruits to so that they can make the best decision for themselves. For the vast majority of people out there that don’t really know what it takes to run a home business, Success University takes care of this as well. There are free resources that will teach you the newest, cutting-edge marketing techniques and tactics from experts so that you can follow their lead. All you need to do is promote your website, by offering valuable free wealth building information and Success University will do the rest with follow-up emails that do the selling for you! And even better, the team I joined gave me an extra website to promote my business, free online advertising resources and a complete system for success. I enrolled 4 people before my 14 day trial even ended! So, you see, it really does matter what team you join because if you don’t have a blueprint for success then you’ll just keep doing what you’ve been doing and nothing will really change.

Our team is full of mentors, trainers and people that will support you in all aspects of the business. You also have access to leaders in the industry each and every month through your Success University Back Office Training Suite to help you become successful in all areas of your life. Immediately after becoming a member of Success University, I received 3 phone calls. One from my sponsor, one from his sponsor and the other from the creator of our teams one-and-only success system. They are all really nice guys. They didn’t have to call me. They chose to call me. That’s the difference.

Listen To Success - Be A Success - Have Success

success
Koz Huseyin asked:

It is easy to find success. Simply switch on any television or radio, and you will find success. But, with all this success, why is so few people successful? It is an odd fact, as we believe if we hang around with the successful, then we will also. But, people watching multimillionaire actors all day long don’t find those results!

Success is all around us. Take a look all around you and you will find success. Now, we need to put things in perspective. Success is not just money, success is not just how much money you have in the bank. A doctor, who wanted to be a doctor all his or her life and actually becomes one, is successful. And actor who wanted to be on TV, in big films who becomes one, is successful.

However, even with whatever definition we place on success, the fact is that most feel everything but success. I often say you can judge a persons level of success by how enthusiastic they feel on a Monday morning!

The best way to become successful is by first defining what success means to you. When you know what that means, you have done a lot more for yourself than a years worth of paid income. Because, now you can move forward to the next most important principle, and that is modeling.

Why walk a new route? Why try to hedge away at reeds, and long grass to plot a new path? Success is done much more easily, and much more successfully when you walk in others footsteps. Imagine driving to the other end of the country if all you had was trees and nature blocking your path. But, with roads, with the efforts of others, the journey is much easier.

Modeling is a success secret. Finding the people you admire, and learning all you can about them, then being like them, thinking like them, acting like them, in your own kind of way is more likely to make success happen for you. After all, we only get one chance here, and whatever your thoughts of eternal life, all you got is now.

But, a new problem surfaces. So, you have moved away from TV, and got into personal development. Now, you see success, you try to act like a success, but the problem that comes is even with all these people in personal development, so few succeed.

Obviously all those people watching TV relate to what is being shown, and this is what often happens in seminars conducted by the wealthy and wise. We switch off and don’t really listen. We don’t take part, and get home motivated, but with no action.

Listen, learn, act and earn. It is the only way to become successful. You can’t win without starting to actually listen and think about what all these successful people are telling you.

Set Yourself Up For Success This New Year

success
Gabriella Goddard, Success Coach asked:

It’s 2008 and just as you did last year, and the year before that, you’ve probably set some New Year’s resolutions. By the time you get to February, these will be long forgotten as you get caught up with the daily grind of life.

Why not make a fresh start this year and do things differently by following this simple 5 step process. It’s easy, effective and very practical. It will help you make the changes that you know you need to make to bring new happiness into your life . . . starting right here, right now.

STEP 1: ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR ACHIEVEMENTS

Take a few moments and reflect upon the past 12 months. Think about the high points and low points. Spend at least 5 minutes reviewing your past achievements. Then write down your answers to the following questions:

-My biggest achievements in 2007 were

-Some of the things I wanted to achieve but didn’t are

-What stopped me was

STEP 2: CREATE YOUR FUTURE

As you sit here, contemplating the year ahead, realize that many of the things you do want in your life CAN happen. So cut out three paper circles and title them ’same,’ ‘better’ and ‘best.’ These are your 2008 film reels. Now think about the year ahead and what you really want out of all the areas in your life-relationships, career, money, personal growth, health, family and friends, social life and your physical environment. Then pick up the film reel you want to choose: “same,” “better,” or “best.” Now write the script for that film.

STEP 3: MAKE IT FEEL REAL

Walt Disney once said, “If you can dream it, you can do it.” What you imagine is a powerful precursor to success. That’s why your next activity is to create a Vision Board. Simply go through some magazines and cut out pictures that visually represent what your achievement looks like, feels like, smells like, and sounds like. Pick out images, colors, words, and patterns that best represent your most important dreams and achievements for the year ahead. Then make a collage of your pictures. Reflect upon these and really feel what it would be like to achieve your dreams.

STEP 4: PREPARE YOURSELF FOR THE JOURNEY

Whenever you instigate any change, you create resistance. After all, it’s so much more comfortable sitting in the comfort zone isn’t it? But if you want things to be different, then you’re going to have to make changes. In a journal, draw three columns going across the page and title them ‘the change,’ ‘the obstacle,’ and ‘the solution.’ In the first column, list the changes that you will need to make to bring your 2008 aspirations into reality. In the second column write any obstacles and finally, brainstorm and come up with some solutions. You will notice, that when there is a will, there’s a way!

STEP 5: PRIORITIZE AND GO FOR IT!

Now it’s time to summarize and prioritize. Being focused is important for turning ideas into action. Put the first things first, and make sure your goals are specific and achievable and that you have a ’support person’ to keep you on target. To finish, review all the good work you have done so far and make a list of no more than 5 goals. Nominate somebody to whom you will be accountable to, and determine how and when you will update them.

Finally, remember that you can do anything if you really put your mind to it. How To Achieve Success Without Struggle

success
Jordan Cheng asked:

Is it possible to achieve success without struggle, despite what most of us have been taught from our younger days that success is impossible without massive hard work and sufferings?

As you go through stages of life, the painful reality you have to contend with is: Even hard work and struggle does not guarantee success. To most people, success seems like a mystery, a puzzle. Despite pain-staking application of the universal rules and principles taught by the gurus, success remains elusive.

The irony, as you may also have noticed, is that some people seemed to have gained success so easily. These people are often deemed to be the lucky ones, with unexplainable factors that guide them to do the right thing at the right time.

What is this missing linking of success? Is it really a fuzzy factor that picks the winners at random?

The level of difficulty in reaching success is in direct proportion to the level of clarity we have about our life goals and purposes.

Do you have to toil away at tasks you never enjoy in order to gain success? Most likely so if you are fuzzy about what your want in life.

Can success be acquired in a joyful and fulfilling way? Absolutely! If you have achieved clarity in your life direction and mission, and have placed them firmly at the center of your focus, your life will be characterized by daily experience of joy and fulfillment.

The biggest problem many people have with success is: The glamorous kind of success that gain the recognitions and envies of others may not align with your heart’s deepest desire. If you can reconcile success with what your heart truly desire, you can really gain success easily. This is the missing link to finding success without struggle!

Most people see success as achievement of goals. The fact is, success should be experienced during the journey. Over more than two decades, I have been pursuing success in studies, sports, career, and even self-development goals. I was extremely goal-oriented, always perpetuate the timeless principle of one of the “Seven Habits of Highly Effective People”: Begin With The End In Mind!

As I reflect on all these years of experience, I found myself looking at the glaring paradox of success: When I focused only on the goals, the joy and excitement of success is often short-lived. Success is usually achieved after a long period of struggles and sometime unpleasant hard work. The main reason being that I was pursuing success that does not align with my life purpose. I was drawn to prestige and glamor, more than inner joy and fulfillment. The simple lesson that took me years to realize is: Pursue only goals that you can enjoy the journey.

Most often it is how we define success that determines whether we are able to enjoy the journey as much as the end goal.

Take my favorite sport for example: marathon running. When I set my goal on running a marathon race, I give myself 6 to 9 months to train for the race. It is important to have a clear and specific goal on the marathon race. For me, I have a clear goal to complete the full course in three-and-a-half hours or better. I am setting this goal to push myself to instill better discipline in diet and exercise, as well as in my work. It is a challenging goal to me because the last marathon I run more than ten years ago was barely below four hours.

With this end goal, I work backward to find out the pace that I need to run during the race. I would then be able to know the gap between my current form and what I need to achieve in eight month’s time. I work out a training plan to do weekly long run, speed work, and interval training. The training schedule will be in a progressive manner where I should achieve peak form when it reaches the day of race.

To cut the long story short, there are lots of details in preparing for a marathon race. However, the single most important thing I have to focus on is how I define success. It is a mindset business. While I have set a specific time goal to finish the race, it is not my definition of success. The success is not found in the distant future eight months from now. Success is defined by my daily commitment in working out the training program.

With this definition, I experience success everyday whenever I:

- Complete a 12-mile run.

- Work out an exhausting but satisfying speed training.

- Push myself to finish the punishing interval training even when my muscle is aching.

- Resist the temptation of tasty food to stick to the sports diet

- Defy the urge to run too hard so as to avoid over-training or injury.

- Diligently attend to blister and chafing so as to recover in time for next day’s training without disruption.

- Remember to replenish my body fluid sufficiently to restore the required balance.

Even though I have to sweat, suffer muscle aching and even injuries, doing these is not a struggle to me. It is fun and exciting. It keeps me energized everyday.

I look forward to the training regime everyday, anticipating the excitement and fulfillment of finishing each exhausting training session, knowing that I have achieved success for that day. The compounding effect of such success mindset is empowering. I know fully well that these small successes will add up to huge success in time to come. Even if I do not meet my time goal at end of this year, I know I have succeeded anyway as long as I follow the training regime diligently. I would already have experienced success on a daily basis for eight months even prior to the end goal. The final achievement of running time will be wonderful but it will not undermine my success. I am not comparing myself with others.

This same success principle can be applied universally in our life, in anything we do.

It is absolutely possible to achieve success without struggle if you can:

- Find your life purpose by seeking your inner wisdom;

- Set your goals base on your purpose, and be guided by what really excites and energizes you;

- Break the goal into small tasks you need to do on a daily basis;

- Stay focus in doing the small tasks well and enjoy the process;

- The key to enjoying the process is to be in the state of flow regularly by aligning your mind, body and soul.;

The Why of Achieving Success: How Your Purpose Shapes Your Success

success
Celia Ann Rooney asked:

We all want to achieve success in our lives. We may want to achieve success in different areas of our lives and in different ways. But it is in our human nature to want to do better, achieve more, and feel successful. We have been taught since we were little that no matter what we choose to do in life, we should do our best—and try to win!

How do we do that? Some writers want to tell you about the “secrets of success” and lull you into the false belief that wishing will make it so. What I want to do is to make the principles plain to you and remind you of one thing you probably already know: success takes dedication and hard work. The keys to success are really the tips of the iceberg, and what you do every day in your own work will determine the extent and the quality of your success. This article is an introduction to the importance of knowing your purpose. Defining your purpose is a necessary precondition to learning the principles of success and applying them to your own life.

Let’s start with a definition. Success means creating a new reality for ourselves, a new life of achievement of our goals and satisfaction of our needs. Our purpose may be to become wealthy and self-sufficient in our lives so that we can pursue other dreams in the next phase of our lives. Our purpose may be to save the world and as many of the souls in it as we can reach. Our purpose may be to be able to help family and friends and even strangers to achieve their goals in life. You get to choose. But remember this: the purpose of your path may predetermine the distance you will travel. If you do not have a purpose greater than yourself and your material needs, you are not likely to go far. Forget the money mantras. Go for goodness.

Here are a few brief examples:

1. Louisa May Alcott began selling stories as a teenager in order to help support her mother and sisters.

2. Alexander Graham Bell began inventing aids for the deaf as a youngster because he wanted to help his deaf mother participate in family conversations.

3. Harriet Tubman did not stop with her own journey to freedom but returned many times to lead hundreds of others to freedom.

4. Grandma Moses began painting at the age of 75 when arthritis put a cramp on her stitching and her work was discovered the market where she traded art for food during the Depression.

5. Booker T. Washington struggled to learn to read at age 7 when it was illegal to teach slaves to read, trading bits of bread for books, knowing that education was the ticket to freedom, and wanting to share it with all the young people he could.

These lives in history teach us about the power of purpose in becoming successful. Their purposes were found in reaching out to help others as well as themselves. Whatever your field, profession, and talents, you must decide now what your purpose is to give cohesion, dedication and passion to the necessary work. Although the science of success is something we can all study, it will be an empty exercise of mere self-will without the deeper spiritual and mental work that it takes to answer the question: why? It may well be that the failure to complete this deeper self-examination has prevented you from achieving success before now. To decide your purpose gives you motivation to step up to your own success. Knowing your purpose also gives shape and color to the masterpiece you hope to make of your life’s work.

Many success stories reveal extraordinary talents, but many others demonstrate that ordinary people can achieve extraordinary success. Many of the remarkable success stories we can study, like the examples given above, involved a person who took a limitation or a disability and achieved success either in spite of it or because of it. These compelling life stories can teach us how to be strong, overcome adversity, and rise up above our limitations. And they teach us even more than those powerful life lessons. They teach us how to turn our own perceived limitations into the unlimited spirit of success by deciding that it will be our purpose to help others in the same difficult circumstances as ourselves.

Poems About Success - How Poems About Success Can Help You Succeed

success
Gregory Frost asked:

Poems, quotes, Haikus and Poe’s work might just be another artistic piece to you. However, you might have overlooked at the purpose of some of these poems and quotes. All poems have literal messages embedded in them. Poems about success, hardships, relationships and motivation are just some of the more common topics that poets of all generation like to meddle with. This is where the power of poems about success is realized. These poems about success can work as fine as your popular success quotes if you know how to use them properly.

The reason why success quotes are much more popular and more recognized is because it is definitely easier to memorize and understand a string of words than to remember the 4 or 5 stanzas of poem. But nevertheless, this does not mean that people appreciate success poems less than success quotes.

In order to make full use of poems about success, we will first have to learn how to read them and understand fully. Of course, if you are having tough luck on understanding any of the poems, than try heading out for simpler and modernized success poems. Centuries-old poems tend to be more colorful and creative, but however, they might not be very relevant to your current society. Hence, a poem from a recent poet would definitely do the trick.

Poems about success can really help you as they are actually your silent motivators that help to keep you on the edge of your seat at all times. When the going gets tough and there is no one to spur you on, poems about success will help to give you the extra edge and hence pushing you to move ahead instead of slugging on the same negative thoughts continuously.

Everyone wants his or her fair share of success. Be it in business, studies or relationship, everyone wants to get the best out of what they are doing in life. Well, you can of course turn to success quotes, as they tend to be more direct. However, most people still prefer success poems over success quotes as poems help you to understand the meaning of success on a deeper level, unlike that of quotes, which only provides the understanding of success on surface level.

There are over thousands of success poems out there, so all you need to do is to choose 1 and keep it by your side at all times. Over time, you will realize that the words from these poems will act as positive affirmations and keep your motivation level sky-rocketing high and you will realize that you will be more determined and focused to achieve what ever you want out of life.

As cheesy as it might sound, these success poems works great on everyone. All you need to do is to read these poems from time to time with an open mind. Success does not fall on your lap when you ask for it. You have to work it inside out - you got to earn it. Learn to do what ever it takes to be the Successful Man that you have been dreaming of. Just a word of caution: It might take a few years before you hit the peak, but it is definitely worth the effort, time and energy!

A Success Mindset Wins Everytime

success
Danette Hibberd asked:

You’ve heard it before. “Success is a state of mind”. Some may argue that success is a result of luck, while others profess it to be the result of the careful planning, preparation and of course, focused action. Yes, the latter is somewhat true but you will also see that there are some exceptions to this rule.

How often have you heard of two people attempting the same objective only to have one of them succeed? Have you ever wondered why this is so? Perhaps it is luck, or timing or even tenacity. Possibly, but in more cases than not, it is the person’s mindset that is the determining factor in whether the result is failure or success.

So, what is a mindset? In most cases, this refers to the predominant state of mind on a daily basis. It is what one thinks about, focuses on and expects from their daily experiences. When one typically thinks negative thoughts, expects the worse or is pessimistic about life, then that is exactly what will be attracted into their life. Conversely, with positive thoughts and a success mindset, you will expect only the best and focus on a successful outcome, and yes, you will win most if not every time.

This seems to make sense. But then you may wonder how it works, or why a success mindset is so important.

A success mindset is crucial if we are to achieve the life we desire for many reasons, but here are three crucial ones.

1) A success mind-set boosts your self-confidence and self-belief.

When you hold a lack of belief in yourself a sense of powerlessness and futility usually comes along with it, and this is the exact opposite of a holding a success mind-set. Lack of confidence means you see no point in even attempting to be successful because it just doesn’t happen to or for you. Obviously, this type of mind-set is a recipe for failure in any endeavor.

Having a true success mind-set, on the other hand, means you totally believe in yourself and in your capabilities. You believe you can be successful at almost everything you try, and you’re willing to give it your best shot. And as you strive more and more, the more confidence and self-belief you build in yourself - until you’re virtually unstoppable!

2) A success mind-set strengthens your determination.

When you do not hold a success mind-set, one failure is enough to convince you that pursuing your goal is a waste of time. Tenacity and determination are not present in your world. When you don’t become a raging success on your first attempt, you surmise that it simply wasn’t meant to be. Unfortunately, few things worth having are obtained so easily!

A success mind-set, however, strengthens your awareness that a failure is not the end of the story - the feedback you receive is telling you that it’s just one more way that didn’t work out the way you planned. In fact, a true success mind-set makes it obvious that the only true failure occurs when you stop trying.

3) A success mind-set encourages fruitful actions.

Have you ever found yourself either confused or wandering round in circles because you didn’t know the best way to approach a specific goal? Perhaps you had an idea of the best course of action but you felt intimidated by some of the action steps required. As a result, you may have kept sabotaging your efforts as you searched in vain for an easier or less frightening way to your goal.

With a true success mind-set, you will always know the most effective course of action that will lead directly to achieving your goal. You will also have the inner confidence and determination to pursue them - which is a sure recipe for . . . you guessed it; success!

To develop a success mind-set you need to incorporate the following ten qualities:

1. Reach and strive for your dreams

2. Think positively

3. Believe in yourself

4. Believe you can do better

5. Learn, grow and develop constantly

6. Be willing to take chances

7. Give it your all

8. Expect the best in every situation

9. Be willing to fail

10. When you fall down, pick yourself up and try again

By following the above strategies, you will not only feel more successful from the inside, but your results will be more in line with those of a person with a true success mindset.
